In another series of articles, I will feature U.S. companies that have become successful by doing business with specific foreign countries, for which they have used specific language translation services. The first company to be discussed is Dromett Soft, which operates in the sphere of home entertainment software and is a developer of computer games. Ever since its establishments in 1989, the company has stood for unparalleled quality in creative design and enjoyable experiences among the computer game makers. Among their best-known products are: Star Odyssey, The War of the Gods, Heroes and Villains, The Twilight of the Gods. As part of its expansion strategy the company started a partnership with Floran Divertissement of Toulouse, France in order to enter the European markets in 1995. As the company needed constant communication with its French partners, it had to select an appropriate translating company, so the French Translation Service would fit best. As part of its diversification strategy, the company is currently working in close cooperation with Core Come Movs, which is going to turn some of its games into films. The company currently employs more than 300 people, which includes engineers, programmers, composers and cartoonists.
New Energy Horizons is the second company to be presented in this article. The sphere of sustainable practices is where the company operates. The reasonable exploitation of renewable energy sources should reduce pollution and prevent the ravaging of earth’s natural resources. This is what the company’s philosophy is directed to. The company operates in close cooperation with the German, Hamburg Energie Lösungen as they promote best practices in order to enhance the quality of life. It is not easy to maintain a relationship with a company whose employees speak a language you do not understand. This is why New Energy Horizons had to use the help of the German Translator Services. New Energy Horizons have always striven to reduce people’s impact on the environment as their manufacturing activities use recycling programs, while their facilities apply re-lighting initiatives which reduce energy consumption and save costs. Germany is going to continue to be the company’s main partner in Europe, but as part of the company’s strategy to renew and expand its operation other parts of Europe are going to explored for natural resources, according to the senior management.
Headquartered in Seattle, the third company featured in this article operates in the communications sphere. RiseTechCom is the name of the company and through its next-generation networks that deliver reliable broadband connections to virtually any spot in the world, it provides telecommunication services around the globe. Today’s competitive world offers many obstacles to any business. This is why services like data, voice, wireless and video are crucial for surviving, and RiseTechCom has the capacity to offer all of them. In this respect RiseTechCom is presented with the unique opportunity to work in close cooperation with similar companies from Europe, Asia and the Americas as the global demand for innovative communication technologies increases. Nikoshi-Tel is a Japanese telecommunication company and has provided similar services to its Japanese customers for ages. It is also RiseTechCom’s key partner on the Asian market. The Japanese Translator Service with which RiseTechCom has signed a contract is going to provide it with expert translator and interpreter assistance in order to bridge the gap between the two culture and thus to open the new horizons for entering new territories on the Japanese market. Founded in 1966, the company boasts annual revenues of nearly one billion U.S. dollars and has sales in over 100 countries.
